Over time adaptation took place to increase or decrease the amount of melanin production by skin cells, which shield the organelles of the cell from UV radiation, preventing skin cancer. This takes energy to accomplish, and is only done if needed.

In climates where there is more UV radiation (sunny), over time, those with more expression calls in the structure of their DNA survive and thrive, changing the skin tone of the group to be darker over time.

Conversely, in climates where UV radiation isn't a problem, individuals with less expression calls for melanin in their DNA do just as well, and because of that the DNA of the group is less concentrated towards melanin production as a whole, lightening skin over time.

The genes, however, are still there.

Proof is something called a sun tan.

Also proof is that there is more genetic disparity within so-called "racial groups" than there is between them.

Also, lol at your "it would take tens of thousands of years for blah blah blah" Of course it would. Just.. LOL.

Fuck off ya mentally shrewish lout.
