My gaming lineage (not all mmorpg):
Dungeons & Dragons (Original, Advanced, & 2nd Edition)
Cyberpunk
Various BBS games (Tradewars FTW) before I learned how to telnet, then:
Various MUDs
Magic: The Gathering
Air Warrior
Multiplayer Battletech
Legends of Kesmai (The sequel [read: the AOL version] to Islands of Kesmai, listed as the first MMO in the Nilbog/Rogean podcast, and yes, it WAS that fucking expensive)
Neverwinter Nights
Subspace (now known as Continuum)
Everquest (Kunark-PoP)
Wyvern
Shadowbane (closed beta)
Planeshift
Dark Age of Camelsuckalot
Conquer Online
Gunz: The Duel
World of Failcraft
Ragnarok Online
Anarchy Online
Redstone
Kingdom of Loathing (for the fucking win)
Silkroad
Heroes of Kung Fu
Mu Online
Cabal Online
Exteel
Project Torque
Requiem: Bloodymare
Rohan Online
Darkfall
Project Torque
Project 1999
Heroes of Newerth
I missed quite a few, listed are the ones I played the most.
Top 3:
1.) Everquest
2.) Darkfall
3.) Legends of Kesmai

Basically, your life consists of playing games?

it's like you make the atomic bomb (server) and you don't want to let other countries (guilds) have nuclear secrets (under the radar information). it's gm's business and no one else's or else everyone gets nuked. letting Iran or North Korea beta test and keep the successful nukes, makes other countries uncomfortable.
