I think that the Sword of Runes, and anything else that is questionably overpowered, needs to be left in. If there's a question at all about something being too cool for school, it's just not overpowered enough to worry about, and you could end up harming the unique and original gameplay that is all we have left of the original EverQuest.
Seriously, most changes you have been doing these days are taking us farther and farther away from EverQuest and more and more into P99Custom. That is not how you started, and not why most of us are on this server. Get back to your ROOTS, guys!
