Hey I just did the quest with her. At least for the boots and belts, which are the only skins i had.
1) she still doesn't give her prompting text. when you hail her she says she doesn't know you and to let her be. then you tell her "baobob sent me" and she says she makes [clothes]. You ask her about [clothes] and she says nothing.
2) I gave her a lq bearskin and 5 gp and got the belt. a mq bearskin and 15 and got the boots. so that is working ok.
3) she moved while I was doing this, and I couldn't finish the first time. I gave her 5 gp hoping to finish it, and she gave me the faction messages without me giving her a bearskin or her giving me an item.
4) I found I still had the bearskin so I gave it to her again with 5 gp and got my belt.
5) After all this I just gave her 5gp with no skin and got faction with karana residents, priests of life, guards of qeynos, and knights of thunder. I guess this works with out the item though it would be an awful expensive way to get faction.
6) she is awful jumpy. by that I mean when you hail her it would be helpful if she stayed put longer so you could give her items. McNeal Jocub in s. qeynos has the same problem. he moves from room to room stocking shelves or something and it is a pain to give him 4 moonstones.
