Now, there is a lot of debate out there about what ruined EQ Live. Most folks seem jaded by Luclin and beyond... I can't help but to feel a big part of what ruined it for me was EQ became dedicated to copying WoW and other MMORPGs and quit being an innovator. |
First let me say I agree about the later statement. Once EQ started grasping at WoW players to get them to return, as well as always cocksucking the raid guilds, is when it died. I'm going to be blunt and honest (and put up my anti-madfag shield) when I say that had Luclin not released new graphics i'm certain 95% of the people that believe Luclin killed EQ would not be making that same claim right now...
Second. Whoever said WoW built the MMORPG genre, you need to punch them in the neck.
