Actually your job is supposed to be finding specific quotes from the timeline that support changing the mechanics. You need proof for what you remember. Prove it for them, and they don't need to go around for 20 minutes trying to figure out what it was supposed to be like exactly.

I reported 2 possible bugs, included the best links I could find. I am not sure what else a casual player like myself is supposed to do here. And intill/inless a GM tells me otherwise. My job is done
