IF you need to fix your FPS issues and your gfx card software doesn't allow it, there is a freeware program called dxtory with an FPS limiter. I have mine set to 60 and it works perfectly. Fraps has one also, but only works in record mode. Dxtory is always on without recording.

I tried this program, and it did limit my framerate; however, it cause a whole lot of stuttering. For instance....Say I'm walking at 100% my normal walk speed....DXTORY would slow my speed down to 50% for a second or two, then speed me up to 100% while also teleporting me forward a few feet. It was really weird. I tried it on two computers.
I have officially found a fix to the slow horizontal mouselook, but it only works on nVidia cards. If you are using an nVidia card, go to the nVidia Control Panel by right clicking on your desktop and selecting it. Once in, I forgot where it is, but it's called "Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames". Set it lower than 3. I set mine to 1 and it made my vertical and horizontal mouselook about the same speed.
I have yet to find an option like this for AMD RADEON cards. There is a "Flip Queue" something in RadeonPro (a 3rd party program), but it doesn't do the trick for me, even though a lot of people talk about it. I use a program to show my FPS in the EQW window, and in some zones, I get 500fps, even if I have vSync on.
It has been known that high-FPS is directly responsible for the horizontal mouselook problem being slower than the vertical mouselook. I've been looking for ways to cap my framerate at 30fps, but I can't find anything. I've even tried fpslimiter 0.2, but it doesn't work either. And yes, I installed JAVA and installed it correctly.
Any help with AMD RADEON cards would be greatly appreciated. No matter how much I max my graphics settings and force higher settings in the Catalyst Control Panel and RadeonPro than the game allows, I just can't get my framerate to go lower than 500fps in some areas.
It's annoying, because, if I'm in PoK, my fps is about 125-150, and it takes about 5 feet moving my mouse across my computer desk to rotate my mouselook character's view (in first person) 360 degrees. If I'm in....say....Field of Bone, in the middle of nowhere, during a storm (reduced visibility), my fps goes up to 500, and it takes my mouse about 50 feet across my table (which means I gotta pick up my mouse about 25 times to move it more across the table).
It's annoying as fuck. Hobart, the EQMAC Dev fixed it for MAC users, but for some reason, it doesn't fix in EQW.EXE emulating the EQMAC client.
HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!
Playing the game on an AMD RADEON is so annoying if you use your mouse to look around. Thanksfully I found a fix for my laptop running nVidia, but I still have yet to find one with my main computer's RADEON card.
