I used the EQchanges.zip and the spell text did NOT change. It still states that this spell is supposed to do 19dam pr tick at level 18.
Currently the dammage total should be 162 at 64mana but it is instead 74 at the cost of 40mana.
Sicken, the disease dot costs 12mana and does 78dam
Thats allmost the same dammage for sicken at 1/3 the price.
"Spirit strike" (the level 14 nuke) costs 44 mana and does 78dam
Now, if Tainted breath in classic version WAS 8dam pr tick then
1) They have forgotten to change the spell discription
2) It was changed later for the very good reason, that the spell is useless, since the alternatives, either save A LOT of mana or save A LOT of time.
I just don't think the change was intentional, it's a bug and it happens, I just hope they change it back quick. I really miss my old tainted breath
