Just kill the spawn and pray for Lord Grimrot to spawn.
I did it over 4 days of camping, with each session last 3-4 hrs. Got 2 undead Lord Grimrot spawn and 1 living Lord Grimrot spawn.
Lord Grimrot will spawn in one of the little hut with a bunch of skeleton around him. Depend on your luck, the spawn can be his placeholder or himself.
