My advice is don't take much advice from the message boards. Lots of debbie downers here..
Frankly, if you want to play EQ to covet your pixels you will be most likely disappointed... If you want to relive a classic experience and play an MMO with a community feel (good and bad) then you will be very happy...
Basically just pick a class you enjoy playing, group a lot, and make new friends....
A lot of drama at the top, but I like to be an optimist and believe that people are generally good, and guilds that are number one are full of good and bad people just like the rest of the server...
When my time comes to do my epic, I am pretty sure if I ask nicely, some of these top guilds would let me come along on certain raids. I guess we will find out in about 30 levels.
