The "people know more" thing only applies to people overall. I can't believe that, if puppet strings worked on live like they do here, there wasn't at least someone, or quite a few someones, who figured out that puppet strings would let them do amazing things back on live, and that those people didn't then do those things and brag about their accomplishments. I mean, it doesn't take a genius to realize that enchanters are awesome largely because of charm and that being able to charm like an enchanter when you are NOT an enchanter is a good thing... right?
Googling ""puppet strings" everquest" with a range from 1/1/1998 to 1/1/2001 doesn't return a single result. There isn't a single EQ webpage out there in the classic era where "puppet strings" was said?
Waybacking a bunch of sites listed in the kunark strategy guide I dug out of my filing cabinet didn't turn up anything era-appropriate and remotely interesting either. A few things from 2001-2003 were more interesting, for what that's worth. But even then the only thing people ever talked about using strings for is OT hammers.
Are people on EQMac using puppet strings like this?
