Player A drops an item on the ground to pass it to one of his alt. Player B comes and picks up the item. If player A starts a topic here to rage over player B, most people would tell player A that he had to be more cautious and that he had to avoid this situation in the first place.
Blame yourself TMO.
Rule 1 : Don't sell an item you want to buy back to a vendor if someone else is around.
