i think the most important thing here is that both of you meant incidental, not consequential

consequential - Following as a result or effect.
As in any loot following as a result of killing the mob/s.
incidental - Occurring merely by chance or without intention or calculation.
The loot was a intended and calculated reward for services. Sure I was there for the epic, but everyone else was there for the loot/plat. Consequential was the correct word to use, and I think
that is really the most important thing here.
