Actually there is clearly more competition for spawns on blue; on red Nihilum gets everything more or less uncontested. It's just that the competition here takes on utterly retarded forms.

This is true.
If an entire guild the size of BDA or TMO migrated to Red, however, the competition for raid mobs would certainly be there. And the competition would be a lot more intense.
Won't happen though.
