How do you know the naming policies of classic? I don't want to look it up, but yes "offensive terms", "titles instead of names", and "references to controversial subjects" seem like they should be removed classic or not.
However descriptive names are one thing that I don't remembering being enforced. If by that you mean something like "Fearstalker", "Wikicat", or "Fatbody". Then go here:

So, some of the names you mentioned, by the classic criteria you want to follow, would not be there. But I have gone on long enough, you have your opinion and I have mine =)... in the end the GMs rule hehe.
