dont look at it in terms of real world. technically all humanoids are animals as well as scarabs, spiders, beetles, fuck everything that fucking moves pretty much an animal so you can see verant had to draw the line somewhere or druids would have been chanters with heals.
snakes, frogs, lizards, bees, wasps, i could go on. all animals.
