I get to use Sanluen's when I periodically log him in, and even with a wizard epic I'd rather just sit down and regen instead of incessantly clicking the stupid robe that barely gets you 1% per click.
Your friends are right, it's bad. It may have been better once mounts came in the game but at this point it's awful. Save yo money.
