I wouldn't have minded instancing so much if it was handled like how some MMOs do it. For example, instead of having just one Sebilis zone, you generate a new Sebilis zone when the first one peaks at 50 players or something, and start filling that one.
A good example was Champions Online and zones like Millenium City, or Dungeons and Dragons Online's Stormreach (and most public areas).
Shame it won't happen here since I doubt the technology is capable of doing it with EQ1.
