Im glad to hear that random acts of kindness are still contagious. Of of the strongest assets of everquest is the sense of community and exploration, meeting new people and making new friends. In 99 when everquest launched I was amazed at how many people who were higher level would buff for free or even give out items to noobs such as myself and it made a world of difference. I would much rather have some good friends in the game and share the experience of grouping together rather than to have a bank full of thousands of platinum. Also, being a high level cleric allows me to go back to some lower level zones and get useful items such as bloodstained tunics. Sure I could probably sell alot of these items for hundreds of plat but I wouldn't get that warm fuzzy feeling for making someones day by gifting them items they could use. I would much rather give a fbss to a lowbie who could make use of it through their leveling and love and appreciate the item rather than sell it for a couple thousand plat. Even when it comes to rezes, I will go out of my way to rez someone not expecting a donation. Yes, I will take donations but if someone has nothing to offer its not a problem. Cleric is my favorite class in eq because I love helping/buffing/rezing people just to do it. And also to pwn those undead
