With all the known social prices you pay for being fat in our society, do obese people have insanely high levels of self confidence to let themselves get so big knowing the health/social/financial/sexual risks?

My theory is that fat people are the real alpha males and have the most self confidence when studied as a group, than any other body types.

I might do my dissertation on this.
