Everyone had turned a blind eye because no one has an answer, or an answer that would be acceptable. Drawing that much guilt has a price and you can't waltz away from it.
You can ignore it, which the media has been doing and so have the posters here until someone pointed it out, then was blamed for pointing it because of the guilt.
