Otherwise, no. Groundshakes should leave merchants items, but hard resets will reset inventories. (can you imagine your recharge merchant getting reset AND repops happening simultaneously making you need the clickies NOW, but also making you unable to recharge anyone?)
If you want to reset a merchant you can always kill them >:]
