For those unfamiliar
antifa is a movement that stands for (and the word means) anti fascism

the primary manifestation of that fascism being the alt right and neo Nazis (watch vid posted in thread for reference of what that looks like in the U.S.)

the original group Antifa opposed was the actual Nazis. for reference, use your unbiased search engine of choice and look up any of 'National Socialism' 'Hitler', 'Holocaust', or 'Concentration Camp'

they are radical (not so dissimilarly to the radical right in being militaristic and confrontation oriented) but for totally different reasons (again, the primary one being a desire to stem the chances that something like Nazi Germany can happen again in the world).

when people are throwing around the word 'antifa' like it's a slur here, maybe consider what mentality it takes to think 'Antifa' is a slur. (I get when Nirgon said 'deranged Antifa', because there are, of course, a lot of deranged people in the radical fringes - especially those groups who want to use force and intimidation to achieve their ends like the alt right and Antifa)
