Did some preliminary work on this quest today.
I will have more questions, but here are some details I will need.
-Prismatic Dragon Scale: When exactly did it start dropping and what all possibly dropped it? In Ele's post
here there is evidence scales were dropping in 09/01. Did Melalafen, scales, and quest appear in 09/01 as the thread seems to indicate?
-Melalafen spawn time. 3.5 days? (+/- ?)
-Melalafen hitpoints?
I decided to try and find Melalafen on the eqlive test server, and to my surprise, he was up. I interrogated him and followed him around for quite a while. His spawn points, depops/immediate repops, and overlapping waypoints will make for an interesting no spawn-camping experience.
For the Lore enthusiasts, if myself or someone else interested in finding this npc spawned on live has the chance to speak to it, are there any particular phrases we should try? I tried asking about the ring of scale, veeshan, sleeper, kerafyrm etc.
I guess that's all I have for now. Really, any additional research into this would be beneficial.
