I've got bases all over but I'll take some pics of my main one. I haven't really worked on it since I first built it probably 80 hours ago and have since been all over the world, only coming back to refine resources and craft.

Gate: Digging a trench moat and then lining the wall with spikes works really well against everything but the occasional troll which is capable of beating down the gate if given enough time. I've had every kind of attack spawn at my base and the walls have never been breached. Trolls have come close.

Fort I built on another continent as a safehouse. It used to have an archery platform where those beams are but it got smacked to pieces by a troll wielding a log lol, back when I couldn't just melee trolls to death
