I’ve not tried the quest since, but realized yesterday that the ‘Ring of the Dead’ is now ‘No Drop’. The same quest previously awarded the ring for this quest. Perhaps this was done when server was shut down late night Jan 1st. This suggests to me that perhaps the quest bug was also fixed.
