I did a few of these quests on my gnome necro. I got all the way to Lake Rathe, with all the components, and went to the BArbs. I con'd a couple of them and thought oh crap, I'm KOS to them.
But, never fear, the two barbs in the corner which do the quest are Amiable and I had no problem doing the turn ins.
