1 counter = 250 hate. That's why they're so good.
The blind whip has another problem, though it was recently made a bit better. Originally if you got out of melee range for an instant the mob would run off like he was ... blind. Now it has to be out of everyone's melee range to do so. Still if your enchanter thinks your target would make a nice pet and charms it while blind, you got big trouble (immediately have the enchanter camp). Otherwise the mob runs off through all it's buddies to wherever the hell they go and as soon as charm breaks it's coming back, with everything along it's path.

The good news is the charm wipes the aggro list of everyone but the enchanter so if they camp before charm wears off you'll be OK.
