why would the klingons cooperate with being hostages?
For all the bitching Enterprise got for the writing, especially with season 3 being a huge Death Star rip-off, Discovery's last episode was so awful. I stopped watching the show after the gay reveal and completely calling the plot hook of the klingon infiltrator star fleet officer (holy hell, I was just dicking around with that lame guess - the madmen actually went for it!!!)... But then I heard about the legendary horrible plot this season had and watched the last two episodes just to witness the genius of CBS scriptwriting.

The Klingons, unified under a single military campaign, are kicking the crap out of the Federation, are lined up to invade Earth, and shrug and call it off because of an bomb threat offered from a traitor female holding up a fat smartphone that's completely unverified and taken at face value.
