They were pretty fucking awesome early on. Cliff Burton was a huge part of that. And it was incredible how much they were able to cross over from the speed metal genre to the MTV peak with One. It really just got kind of lame in the 90s with the huge success and need to capture a younger, more mainstream audience.

That’s cool though, not knocking career success strategy. And it is probably more of me being a bit of a bitch about it...although a show I saw in like 1995 was teenybopper garbage. Preening like more of a glam metal band without the rad eyeshadow.

Anyways, Kill em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets were pretty special albums.
