Raid rules are dumb. Making staff babysit every pixelhunt and listen to everyone cry about how unfair one thing or its opposite is is dumb. Less rules, not more.
If you can't compete get better. Or find a less contested target. Or do something other than raid. Or play a different game. Lots of choices.
