A few tips from me.
1. Accept the struggle, relish in the difficulty,
JOIN! It's super fun, we need more members and it brings the challenges and accomplishments of the low level adventure. You can actually seek out low level quests that will benefit you with rewards, and guild members will be willing to help you. That EverQuest 1999 feeling is arriving at a dock near you.
2. Since crafted trade skill items are not subject to a level restriction, you can have a Tailor or Blacksmith get you suited up in some silk, cured silk, or banded armor once you have the plat to purchase or items to trade.
3. You can also purchase a Forged Weapon from a Blacksmith before you can afford a combine weapon, highly suggested! You don't want to be swinging that rusty/tarnished weapon for 15 levels do you?
Definitely farm those bone chips, spider silks, spiderling silks, and High Quality Bear Pelts! You can sell or trade those to guild members for items of like value.
