I wouldnt see anything wrong with Irontoe... great surname for a Blacksmith (especially a Dorf one).
Also would suit a monk, can't enter a bar in a KungFu movie without getting in a fight with the local 'bad guy gang', Ironshin, Swiftarm, Tigerclaw, Stonefist.... and so on.
