What we're bumping into is the intersection of:
1) The only fun way for a lot of people to enjoy the server at this point is to engage the endless "roll of the dice" to get pixels and, more importantly, deny those pixels to others (see: the amount of people who /q the server and/or stop playing as much after a BiS loot)
And, 2) Classic EQ just isn't rewarding once you bump into 1) being your in-game experience.
