There are two kinds of impotence:

1. Damaged blood vessels/tissue, like what is described here. Sounds bad, actually not as bad as the other type because there exists a somewhat easy solution: viagra/sildenafil/cialis. Most people prefer cialis because it lasts 24ish hours, whereas Viagra or sildenafil need to be timed generally an hour before hooking up. You pop the pill, it floods the member with blood, good to go. Still need to have a sexual thought though, the movies making it seem like it causes boners out of nowhere are lying (as movies often do about drug effects)

2. Too little testosterone, or too much prolactin: good luck. Viagra won’t save you, it won’t even help you. It doesn’t matter about blood flow, the signal is not being sent from the brain correctly, because the endocrine system is screwed up. Until you correct the hormone imbalance not only will you be physically incapable of hooking up, you won’t even want to. You wouldn’t enjoy it even if you could. Luckily even someone who is hypogonadal (natural low test) doesn’t have test so low that it causes complete impotence, but it is possible. Normally you get this second type following anabolic steroid use

In regards to the article, tissue regenerates. There are ways to improve the circulatory system. I highly doubt any impotence would be lifelong
