If socialism is a sustainable model, it wouldn't require the assistance of the rest of the world's economy to make it work. That's kind of the whole theoretical point of socialism, building a closed-loop community/country that works, at-cost, to sustain itself.

This isn't the Cold War.
And the Cold War was mostly about preventing the spread of the Soviet Union, not Communism.
Any sanctions we do have are due to actions done in the past while under the influence of the USSR.
The US doesn't go around attacking every Socialist country it sees.
