How can we have a free market when consumers can't even control the market anymore?
We are no longer governed by people, we are governed by corporations, and have been for a very long time. Corporations govern our markets, and who gets to be employed, and who receives healthcare. If you do not belong to the corporate tribe, you are not a citizen.
Also, 3.4+ million chickens dead in flooding, like 1.4million of them at one facility. Lot's of poor people out of a job, have to go back and deal with that mess. They are going to get sick and die. It probably won't be reported on.
Very few people had flood insurance.
This is a once in a thousand year rain storm (LOL! hehehehe *maniacal laughter*)
Prayers and brainers again.

Yeah, we had one of those last year in Houston. And a 500 year storm, twice, the year before...me thinks their measuring system needs some tweaking. Sucks about the chickens, and I just hope the farmers had insurance or whatever corporate entity they were raising the chickens for had insurance on them. Anyway, shit's fucked and will be for the next year or more them. We're still not done with Harvey recovery.
