Microsoft buys ZeniMax 7.5b
ZeniMax recently signed an agreement to sell ZeniMax Media, Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse Studios studios to Microsoft for 7.5 billion.
ZeniMax was private so the board had to agree to sell. Back in Aug Robert Trump, a member of the board, passed away. Some speculate this spurred the board to push for a sale but that's not to say robert cared about games.
Let's go back in time to Oblivion, Horse Armor. It was pushed by console's Microsoft xbox and sony playstation to be a paid DLC and as we know now the famous PAID Horse Armor DLC. As a such it was forced to be a paid dlc on PC too.
Do y'all think this will affect the games past, present and future or will micro$oft let the game studios do their own thing?
