see, i think having a background doing low-wage jobs for regular people is a plus in a potential politician, not a minus. more people who have actually experienced the bullshit the rest of us have is good. a fair litmus test for a politician should be things like "what is the price of a gallon of milk" or "how do you determine where the studs are on a wall without any tools"
