Fascism, in its Nazi or Italian form, is the belief in the nation state as a brotherhood of man, with "man" being the people of the dominant culture/race. Those people enjoy generous social benefits, universal healthcare, massive education investment, strong government oversight and investment in physical and social infrastructure to ensure fairness and equality of opportunity. Free enterprise is allowed, but only when conducted with proper values, and businesses deemed parasitic or exploitative are nationalized by the government.

Thank you. This is the key difference when people just talk about some authoritarian regime and call it fascist. Same thing with most Muslim countries. They're into the umma, they have all these benefits, economy check, values check, why are they not fascist? Because it's religion based. It comes from above. It's not an innate feeling. Same thing with all these banana states. People say this guy is fascist or that guy, but is he trying to unify the nation into one body? No, just some regular oppressor. That state exists only as long as the guy or his family is in power. A true fascist state aims to last forever, or well, at least 1000 years.
