but because of lag between the server and the client, if you click it at 1% hp you might wind up dying instead of gating, because while your client thought you were alive when you clicked it, the server knew you were already dead by the time you did.
Also, if you don't already know how to recharge the cap (which will require you to own a second cap on a second character) ....

(Key point: every time you recharge you lose the difference between the merchant's buy and sell cost for the cap, times two, because you have to sell two caps and then buy them back. This is why, if you're cheap, you may want to try to hammer first and only use the cap at the last second ... just not at the
very last second)
