Definitely, the extremes are always shown the most.
I think the baseline concern whether you're Left or Right is 'corruption'.
Right wingers typically don't like government, so when they envision government they focus on the worst possible scenarios or worst corrupt aspects.
Left wingers do the same with Capitalism, etc.
If you ask them to think of either, they'll think of the worst examples.
My theory on bringing harmony back to politics is focusing on 'corruption'.
Right wingers don't want corrupt capitalism or cops.
Left wingers don't want corrupt government, etc.
