Default Plane of Growth Changes

Hello friends,

After extensive analysis and discussion of recent server events, raid petitions, and player feedback, CSR has decided to implement the following changes to the Plane of Growth:

Players will no longer be required to clear the entirety of the zone prior to engaging and killing Tunare. If players choose to engage Tunare prior to clearing the zone, they must drop their engagement if mobs in the zone are delinked from Tunare's zone-wide call. Failure to do so will result in multiple PoG concessions and/or full raid suspensions at the discretion of staff. Previous FTE lock and unlock rules apply.

Now, for those of you who have no idea what that means, Tunare has a similar ability to Cazic Thule in the Plane of Fear where every single NPC in the zone will run to and defend her from invaders. The obvious approach is to clear the entire zone before engaging her. Some of our more ambitious players developed a strategy where they would clear a portion of the zone, gather up the remaining NPC's in the biggest bard kite you've ever seen, run them to the far corner of the zone, and engage Tuna in the hopes they burn her down before they're steamrolled by hundreds of angry flowers, wisps, walruses (why are there walruses?), panthers, and tree boys. Sounds exciting, right? High risk, high reward. Unfortunately, our omnipotent developers confirmed the "call" mechanic was broken and we then determined allowing this strategy would be classified as exploiting a broken mechanic.

With the recent, timed raid event we received nothing but overwhelmingly positive feedback. We wanted to provide additional engagement opportunities to our players which genuinely challenged them and we feel that opening up PoG is in line with this. With that in mind, the purpose of this isn't to provide players with more opportunities to play the rule meta against each other.

Staff will not look favorably on players who choose to police other guilds. Players who try to creatively play the rule meta around this change, or ask a million questions in order to find a loophole, will be met with equally creative punishments or restrictions on themselves or their guilds at the sole discretion of staff.
