It was Ascending Dawn, Wudan, Magicus Imperialis Magicalis, Seekers of Divinity on Rallos Zek that killed the sleeper for the first time - It was a longevity fight using a huge horde of people - everyone was dying very quickly and then getting rezzed by out-of-combat epic clerics. When they got the Sleeper to 1%, the server admins freaked out and despawned it because they weren't even sure what would happen - would it break the game?! A day or 2 later, the guilds got the nod to try again, and this time they were allowed to complete the kill. It dropped nothing but immense internet gamer cred for all involved
