Mob in Akanon Mines not taking damage

I was in the mines in Akanon looking to kill Red V for the quest for the bull smasher hammer. I was bored waiting for the next respawn, so I went to kill a decaying gnome skeleton. I checked it before I attacked, it registered green to me, but when I started attacking it, even though I was hitting it, it was taking no damage. Between my Ward Undead, and my current hammer hitting for 40+ damage his health bar wasn't budging.

The skeleton wasn't doing really any damage to me, but I thought I would try taking it to a guard to see if a guard would kill it. However walking through the mine they took the skeletons side and murdered me. :< So I lost exp and hard to come back from free port over a skeleton that should have died in a couple of hits.

I'm on the Green PVE server, my character name is Bunners. I just wanted to let you guys know, in case its a bug that could get others killed, and it would be nice if I could get my EXP back :<
