Merchants: Getting "Thou hast been expelled by the Gods"

Issue: I get disconnected when buying an amber from merchant in East Commonlands at 232.38, 4727.63, -49.75. I pointed out a player that might be hacking (Brownie) who was using this merchant (I don't know they used it prior to me and were warping around very badly on a naked character). Anyway the hacking issue is not relevant to the bug report unless some how merchants can be broken by hacks. The bug is repeatable as of today during the two times I attempted it and got disconnected.

Steps to repeat. Successfully sneak with a rogue behind Katha Firespinner and attempt to buy an amber.

I was able to buy a bat wing without becoming disconnected.

I reported the bug here because this happened on the PvP server. May be a server specific issue.
