Default Looking to play levels 1-55 with 6 Wizards, anyone interested?

I was thinking it would be fun to run around with 6 Wizards and just spike things out. Should actually be rather efficient for leveling because normally as a Wizard you have to blow mana on root/snare, and blow time on kiting and/or chain casting, but we wouldn't even need to by using this method. We can all just cast one spell and BOOM, dead target. The group can setup a rotation of who does follow-up casts, in case we get resisted too much on the initial casts...with a good rotation like that it will keep the mana nice and even.

With root for crowd control, and proper coordination, we should be able to handle plenty of content in the game until about level 55. Just spike down everything in our path! Who wants to come play?

Team Manaburn used to rape shit on pretty much every live server.

On a side note, me and some friends considered doing a project like this one.
Gnome wizards, running around with names like Atal Ghoulwizard, Akor Ghoulwizard, Ajin Ghoulwizard, Aguk Ghoulwizard -- and our leader would be Theghoul Archmagi ...
But we never really got it past the planing stage [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I feel like lots of plans involving wizards never make it too far.

I've got an account full of wizards with Kagero: Deception II names on them, thinking "oh man, I should level a few wizards to use for raids in Velious!"

Goatbone made it to level 55 (and won't make it any farther any time soon; I couldn't stand quadding anymore even with double xp, and chardok groups always just need enchanters), others are still level 1.

I REALLY like this idea.

Would we all be rolling the same race? Where would we meet up?

I think it would probably be best if we are all good-aligned Erudites. Keep it thematic! People should just play whatever race/alignment they want, though. Getting 6 people who can play at the same times is the most important thing. I'm sure we'll actually need more than 6 people participating overall, so that we can always try to have 6 logged on to group with when we want to.

I'd like to start over in the Qeynos area since it's so underused, but that could also be changed if people aren't wanting to.

I don't really have any desire to be an Erudite. I was looking to be a Dark Elf, ideally, but I would definitely settle for Gnome.

I think 6 Gnomes Wizards would be pretty freaking hilarious. I also agree with the matching last names.

OP, what timezone are you in? I'd totally be down to get in on this and would be happy to stream our adventures.

As someone above me previously stated, having one bard/chanter would be probably in the group's best interest, but I think it would be more fun to have 6 wizards. How would we pull? Each Wizard rotate to pull and root so that everyone has turns medding/pulling.

This sounds like so much fun.

I don't think much "pulling" will be happening. We simply go wherever we want, do a countdown of 3, 2, 1, and blast our target. We'll setup a rotation for who does a "followup" cast in case our initial blast doesn't kill right away. If a camp needs to be broken then each Wizard just roots a different target and we "3, 2, 1" the monsters one at a time. The most important thing will be avoiding damage. Ranged firepower!

My timezone is PST. I can play pretty much whenever. During the dayime I'm at work, but I have plenty of downtime at work. This kind of Wizard setup would be perfect for me, actually, because we can go blast some people and then I can get back to doing what I need to do while we med up. I won't always want to play at work, though, because there's another game I already play at work (LOL).

If you want to be a Gnome that's cool. I'm gonna stick with Erudite; I just really want that race for my Wizard. I'd prefer to start leveling up over in West Antonica, if the group is cool with that. It's not really hard to get a SoW and Teleport to get setup over in that area. I figure this would be a nice change of pace for most people as well, since people these days usually go the East Antonica or Faydwer route at the start.
