Default PvP Night - Blue

Okay, so lets face it - You're a bluebie. The low population on Red, mixed with the inability to escape PvP in order to just casually grind your exp bar has really turned you off to the idea of full-time PvP. That doesn't mean we don't all enjoy a little player-vs-player bashing from time to time, and honestly, there's a place for this!

One of my favorite things to do in the PoP era, was just hang around in the Bazaar arena and chat/duel/groupPvP. Unfortunately, we have an entire zone dedicated to PvP for casuals, but because if it's 'out of the way' status, it gets absolutely no attention. I remember, during several of the BotB tournaments, the GM's would hold a free-for-all PvP match afterward, and it was tons of fun.

I'm deciding that I want to try and create a night, maybe once a month, where i'll schedule an actual arena night for the general public. We'll sit around and chat, duel each other, have guild vs. guild matches, and before the night is up, hopefully do a massive Free-for-all. I don't know how popular this will be, and honestly, I might show up on the first night by myself, but i'm going to continue scheduling it, in an attempt to create some community fun!

The first night i'm going to schedule this will be 6/14/2014 at 8:00pm EST in the Rathe Arena and with any luck, we can have people on board until well past midnight.

If you're not level 60, don't fret! Come along, and we'll try and set something up for all levels of play. Perhaps with some prizes, if others, or myself are able to contribute items to the cause.

Hopefully i'll see you guys there on the Saturday after next! Come out and have some fun!

would be cool to set it up at a time that didnt conflict with PST work schedual. I know 9-5 is what dolly parton said the work hours were, but lets be honest its 9-6 for most jobs on the west coast.

I would love to join but the lack of respect for the 6pm starting PST is really sucky for like, everything in EQ.

I hope that playing eq at 9pm isnt too late for you, Carson is on at like 11 oclock.

Love this idea! please make it later in the evening!!! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'm totally in for some PvP fun. Lvl 51 Necro at the moment. And scheduling it an hour later or so in the evening would probably be better for everyone's schedule so more people show up on time.

Looking forward to dying in hilarious fashion.

I'm okay with bumping it up about an hour, although I plan to stay there until like midnight, so 9pm definitely won't be late for the show if that's when you can make it.

The 5-team, 60-person battle royale Apeople organized when he quit a few months ago was probably the most fun I've ever had in EQ. In that case, we just did a snake-draft for teams so that each team had a roughly equal level-spread. Might be fun to incorporate something similar. If I remember correctly, the team that won was a bunch of druids ranging from 30 to 60, so not being at max level wouldn't necessarily be huge disadvantage.

pvp code on blue server is VERY VERY bad

might as well just make new characters on red99, exp casually, and hold your events there

Rogean says its the "same," but lets face it, Rogean doesn't know anything about his own servers.

You're missing the point Mac. Some of us like our non-PvP cushion and this is just a fun event. Let's not turn this into RedvBlue.
