Gets into the game client then freezes

Okay so after about 6 hours of errors and problems I've managed to get the latest EQEmu version(1.24) and am into the game client.

However whenever I connect to a server (any server not just p99), the screen just goes black and goes non responsive if I click anywhere on the window.

Any ideas??

Patience, I think. My EQ window goes unresponsive for a few minutes before loading character login. Give it 5 minutes to load and see what happens [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If that doesnt work, I think we need more data to help you.
- If its the entire screen (and not just the EQ window) that goes black, perhaps its a graphics setting your computer cant handle?

Ok, i figured it out. It is a resolution issue. I normally run in 1920x1080. had to reduce my rez down to 800x600 to get it to work. still trying to tweak it so I can get a better resolution though. but, that should be a good place to start fixing this issue.
