Default LF others high 20s, low 30s for Dalnir exp/quests/loot

Hi all, my name in game is Strazha, Lv. 29 Lizard Necro. I'm having a blast on the server! Rolled here a week ago - great community and very spot-on classic feeling, though I hear Level 60 life is rough in the raid scene. Anyway, I Dinged level 29 and solo'd some quest pieces (ShadowBound Gloves, 6th Iksar Necro Skullcap), thinking of doing ShadowBound Boots, too.

Warslik's Giants soloing, while nice drops and exp - is boring. I'd like to expand my experience to grouping, and being able to do the Visceral Dagger / 7th Iksar Necro Skullcap quest in the process while getting to do a sweet dungeon crawl / get some nice loot for the level range! I made a few friends along the way, bumping into people at Jester in Kurn's, duoing with Necros / Shamans. There was one pretty sweet duo, that turned into a full group in Kurn's, but that was just one time. Small groups or solo otherwise. I kitted myself out decently using the 60 stacks of bonechips from 9 - 24 in Kurn's + a stint of Gargoyle Isle.

* Class Makeup I'm thinking: Me (NEC), (CLR), (ROG or SHM), (WAR / SHD or PLD), (MNK), (ENC, WIZ, or DRU). Let me know if interested, maybe we can pre-arrange a meet-up/time in the same vein as say, D&D tabletop sessions.

* I posted to reddit, and have a couple people interested: a cleric and possibly a busy schedule paladin, but we'll see.

Bring your main/only toon, or your alt - let's get something going!

Dalnir might be the single hardest dungeon to group in at appropriate level. Good luck and I hope you make it happen. Bring CC, stuns and snares. A wizard is a good fit in a dalnir group.
It is a challenge, but a full group of competent peeps should be able to do well! What's a game without challenge, you know? It's easy/boring to fearkite outside, having some sort of challenge is part of my enjoyment to a game. I'll probably be a YOLO charm necro soon enough.

Dalnir is really fun! I initially went there to get drops for scaled mystic bracer quest with my monk stepson. We ended up eventually teaming up with an enchanter and shadowknight and xp'ing there for at least 10 levels, fighting all the way to the bottom. Monk is still wearing a few pieces of that crescent armor. The first time we dropped to the second level was one of the best times I've had on EQ. If you make it to the very end, though, don't attack that last mob by the exit. We learned the hard way [You must be logged in to view images. Nice, toon's name in game, timezone, day that works best? I'm putting together a potential group of interested people so far. There's way too many necros interested, but I suppose that's due to 2x quests in there for us.

Nice, so you had a SHM, MNK, SK, and ENC? Pretty solid group! Yeah, The Kly or The Kly Overseer procs 500 dmg on melee, ahaha. Noted on the ENC, have to find one. Some nice stuff drops down there for ENC, too.

Since I cannot edit my first message, here's a link to my reddit post with what I think would be balanced out of all of the people interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/project1999...0s_for_dalnir/

the enchanter is extremely helpful because the pulls are often huge in dalnir, and you'll need very good cc. There are a lot of casters and harm touches too, but it's totally manageable, great xp and great loot, making for some very exciting dungeon runs. The difficulty curve is pretty good. Once you can confidently clear the area around the drop down to level 2, you are probably ready to drop. Some dumb mob sees through invis (the ooze i think), so if someone dies or you get a wipe deep in the zone, sometimes you just have to fight back. The enchanter we grouped with would solo the bottom level when we weren't online. He died there once and we were able to get to his body with my shaman, the monk, and naked enchanter. We did Nurga, Droga, Kaesora too. Dalnir by far is the most fun. The crescent armor drops should entice a monk, at least a non twink. The scaled mystic bracer quest item drops are good for an iksar shaman. SK epic or cabilis quest pieces drop down there, as well as, i think, monk shackle quest items. Also, it's one of the only places to get iksar blood. It's super rare, but you can make imbued cabilis scale armor with it. A lot of iksar shamans will already have smithing from doing scaled mystic quest. For enchanters, there's the elliptical veil and some other stuff. So lots of good loots in addition to the xp and fun [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

Yeah, there's some great loot down for for non-twinked people, a few notable quests for us lizards, and should be a very fun dungeon delve for sure once everyone's organized/schedules sorted out. X)

Update: We have a Monk, Shaman, Cleric, Necromancer, and Enchanter so far. LF Wizard or Druid for evacs if necessary, might just go with another class if we can't find a Wiz or Dru to fill the last spot.
